Next to Nye Beach there’s even a playground with a giant hillside pirate ship slide, a sure treat for the kids! Outdoor enthusiasts will especially love hiking Drift Creek Falls with it’s gorgeous suspension bridge, or exploring the amazing beauty of Cascade Head. Guest access

Key code access will be provided automatically when you book, with electronic and time sensitive codes for your convenience. The adjoining deck between the cabins and the communal fire pit are shared. The garage has been turned into a retreat/play space for use by guests at the Day Dreamer cabin (Wind Sailor guests still have access to grab bikes and beach stuff).

Guest interaction

We live in Portland and Astoria, so unless we're staying in the second cabin, we probably won't meet you. We love reading stories in the guest book, and are happy to get your feedback. You can visit our Olivia Beach Camp Cabin and other websites to learn more about us and our story.

Neighborhood overview

The Olivia Beach community is like the the "Cape Cod" of the Pacific NW. Even though the homes are newly built, the neighborhood has a quaint old-fashioned feel. With the park, pool, volleyball court, and exercise room there's enough to keep you busy without even going to the beach. The beach access is easy with three different routes (two routes by car are just minutes, walking is about 10-15).

Getting around

There isn't much transit, but there is plenty to do/eat in walking distance and grocery stores are nearby in both directions. There are lots of touristy beach shops and the outlet mall is very close. Lastly, there are two cruiser bicycles per cabin (although honestly we haven't even used them yet with everything else there is to do nearby).

Other things to note

There are only two cabins of this size/price in the Olivia Beach community (all other place are bigger and much more expensive). Rates include state and local taxes. The cabins are cozy, but they have everything you need for a getaway. We are very kid-friendly, and have baby gear like high chairs, pack-n-play, and dishes. Ask us if you have more questions...

So cute and relaxing!

We spent a few days here with my mom. It was perfect!! We found the cabin to be the perfect size for 4 of us - 3 adults and a 13 year old. The cabin is so cute and was furnished with everything we needed. The hot tub was the perfect ending to our days! Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing vacation

Beautiful place with lots of family friendly amenities. Located near amazing places to have some great adventures while providing the comfort of a home. Take note that the city has strict recycling codes so be courteous and cautious about what you leave behind. An amazing vacation awaits!!!!!

Amazing experience

My girlfriends and I went here for my bachelorette party, because of work and busy schedules we were only able to stay one night :( but it was great!! So many things to keep you entertained whether you're stuck inside or are able to explore things outside. Lots of games to keep you busy, jacuzzi, a fire pit that we were able to make s'mores and hotdogs on, etc. Also, I loved the fact that there is a manual inside the cabin that lets you know the places around there to eat or to explore and what activities are available nearby! Not only that, but there is also a guest book that's each guest signs and leaves a note with tips or with their impressions. We found those very helpful when deciding on where to eat :) The walk to the ocean is only about 5 minutes and the view is incredible. The cabin itself is very cozy and cute and things such as utensils and toiletries are provided for you! Miel was an amazing host and responded to any question or concern in a timely manner, I will definitely be coming back here someday!

A great , clean, beautiful and cozy little place! My daughters and I enjoyed it with our two little dogs! Our only complaints are that Netflix kept freezing up on us and a low water level in the hot tub. I recommend it!!!

Beachy keen!

We loved this sweet little cottage in this quiet community set away from the highway and wished we’d had more time than just an overnight to enjoy it (we pulled in after dark and then had to be all cleaned up and checked out by 11am the next day). It was very clean, bright and cheery (and appeared to be relatively new). We appreciated and enjoyed the helpful and interesting info book about the owners’ story, rules of the cottage, suggestions and recommendations on where to get/go for certain things/activities. In our short stay we were able to squeeze in the making of a meal (well-supplied kitchen, except couldn’t find a coffee grinder the next morning), a soak in the hot tub, a movie on Netflix (very nice entertainment system in cottage) and a bike ride with the beach bikes provided in the garage (thanks!) down to the local cafe for breakfast the next morning (fab breakfast by some of the friendliest, helpful and knowledgeable locals in the area)! After we checked out we drove down Coast Drive (Street?) from this beautiful cottage community right to the public access beach and walked the beach (it was low tide) for an hour or so. Fun little stones and rocks scattered everywhere — so fun to hunt for some keepers. We lucked out with the weather, which made having to move on even harder. Just beautiful. Loved Lincoln City — has all the amenities of a larger town in a smallish town setting. My only caution about these cottages are that if you have any mobility issues or not a lot of strength or flexibility, this place may not be for you. Not quite a tiny house, but it’s on the tight size. The master bedroom is small with a queen bed, but one side is pushed up against a wall, so someone will have to climb over the other for nighttime bathroom visits. And there isn’t a lot of extra room for luggage or storage of luggage. The loft won’t make much sense for you either. My take was that this place is the most ideal for a young family. Still, we really enjoyed it. Thank you!

A little of everything

The house is lovely, cozy but not at all cramped, and well supplied with all amenities. We enjoyed easy access to a heated salt-water pool and the hot tub. A thorough guest book gives you all the resources you might need for a night out or a hike on the coast. If you are at all wigged out by the idea of a tsunami you will like knowing that the house is out of the tsunami zone. The neighborhood is quiet and well insulated from the noise of the highway and of Lincoln city. The beach is not the largest, but if you hit it at low tide you can search for wonderful rocks - agates, jasper, and stones smoothed by the sea. This section of the beach is also a perfect place to fly kites. Easy access to the Oregon Aquarium in Newport. It is worth setting aside walking the Drift Creek Trail if you like ferny green trails (even in a drought year) and crossing a suspension bridge. The possible negatives are that access to the house is up 10 or so gravel stairs. Getting to the beach also takes some work -- it is a several block walk across the neighborhood, 40 stairs up on a boardwalk, crossing a quiet street, and then 110 steps down a wooden stairway to the beach (about 4 stories). We counted - a total of 150 stairs. To get my tween and teen to go more than once was difficult. To do it with toddlers would be a major undertaking. The Olivia Beach Cabins neighborhood is in Lincoln City. This could be a negative for some or a plus for others. For us it allowed a 6 minute trip to the supermarket when we forgot something we needed for dinner and a quick trip to J's fish and chips for fish tacos (well worth it!). To get into the neighborhood, you are turning directly off 101 just past the Outlet Mall which can be tricky with traffic when we visited at the end of August.
